Four tables are included in the app. Other great pinball tables are available as in-app purchases along with online tournaments and additional modes to challenge yourself and compete against your friends.

The Pinball Arcade is a pinball video game developed by FarSight Studios. The game is a simulated collection of real pinball tables licensed by Gottlieb, Alvin G. and Company, and Stern Pinball, a company which also owns the rights of machines from Data East and Sega Pinball. Williams and Bally games are no longer available since June 30, 2018, as FarSight had lost the license to WMS properties, which has since passed to Zen Studios.

The game is available for download on a number of devices through their respective online stores, including Android (along with derivatives such as Kindle Fire and Ouya), iOS, Windows (through Steam), macOS (through the Mac App Store and Steam), PlayStation Vita, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 (through PlayStation Store), Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U in North America only, and Nintendo Switch.

Tables are available for free limited demo play on Android, iOS, and other platforms. Every month, along with the release of downloadable content (DLC), four select tables on mobile versions are free with no Pro Menu features. PC versions are limited to one free table.

Besides recreations of existing pinball machines, FarSight is also producing its own original-design tables.[8] A Ghostbusters-themed table was released in late October 2014 as a stand-alone application for Android and iOS using the same layout as Haunted House.[9][10]

On December 9, 2016, FarSight Studios announced Arcooda Pinball Arcade in cooperation with Arcooda, an Australian manufacturer of arcade and gaming machines. The game is an enhanced version of The Pinball Arcade running in a cabinet.[12]

FarSight's most recent Kickstarter project launched on May 2, 2016 with plans to digitize Stern's AC/DC pinball table for Stern Pinball Arcade; the announced funding goal was $108,435.[33] Due to a new partnership as a response of the positive reception, this Kickstarter was canceled as the intended funding was no longer necessary.[34] However, as of July 1, 2019, the license has expired and the table is no longer available for purchase.

Pinball machines were part and parcel of most arcades in the late seventies and early eighties and, although they never got as much recognition as arcade machines, the demand was always there. And now, as we approach the new millennium, their popularity hasn't waned at all with pinball machines still one of the most addictive machines available to play.

Microsoft has been very clever in their approach to this collection, concentrating wholly on the differences in pinball rather than simply releasing seven of the same. Here's a rundown of each table and the comparisons/changes through the years: -

Most people will not remember these when they first came out (those that do will no doubt deny it anyway), but basically, this was the first ever pinball machine. Standing upright and looking like a cross between an old wireless and a jukebox, the idea is that as the ball shoots up to the top (as in normal pinball) the player must redirect the ball down into one of the colored slots. The balls are all colored differently so obviously the more red balls that go in the red slots will reward you with more points.

Humpty Dumpty is the first recognisable pinball game included in Pinball Arcade, although the flippers are situated on the sides from top to bottom. There are three on each side, which does take a lot of getting used to.

A more traditional table with a boxing theme, Knock Out was the first Gottlieb table to include the two flippers at the bottom. It also included a sub-game which consisted of a boxing ring at the top of the table in which, when a certain score is acquired, a 'knockout' is achieved and one of the boxers would fall over. This sort of feature went on to become an important part of pinball.

Celebrating America's bicentennial year with pictures of the astronaut John Glenn and folk singer Davey Crockett, this table set the trend of pinball tables for the future. This table is much more playable then its predecessors mainly because of the more strategically placed flippers and bigger and better bonuses.

The pinball explosion! The eighties pushed the pinball phenomenon further than ever with arcades all over the world including them alongside the likes of Pac-Man and Asteroids. Haunted House is the first game in the pack to feature a game inside a game. In the middle and top of the table is a pinball game all of it's own in which you can double or even triple your score.

The final pinball table, Cue Ball Wizard has everything: accurate ball physics, great sound, loads of bonuses, ridiculously high scores, and even speech telling you where you should aim the ball next.

So, having played all seven tables, I feel as though I've been in a pinball time machine! Joking aside, if you are really into your pinball games and fancy taking a trip down memory lane then Microsoft Pinball Arcade is definitely the game for you.

We may have multiple downloads for few games when different versions are available. Also, we try to upload manuals and extra documentation when possible. If you have additional files to contribute or have the game in another language, please contact us!

Microsoft Pinball Arcade is a pinball video game from Microsoft for Windows 95 - 98. It was released on December 15, 1998 for Microsoft Windows and in 2001 for the Game Boy Color. The game is a collection of seven real pinball tables licensed by Gottlieb. These include: Baffle Ball (1931), Humpty Dumpty (1947), Knock Out (1950), Slick Chick (1963), Spirit of '76 (1976), Haunted House (1982), and Cue Ball Wizard (1992).

My college arcade had one of these with the tilt sensitivity so low that you could pick the thing up to move the ball around. I played and played this thing. They had this, and I think Star Wars, and an Indiana Jones. The local arcade had Mars Attack which I also played quite heavily. I loved this era of pinball games.

I've played pinball my whole life and was thrilled when this app came to market years ago. I've played some of the other pinball apps but always come back to this one because it is true to pinball form. The other apps lose the essence of pinball with points that continuosuly float up from targets and that also have bizarre ways adding 'challenges' to the already diffuclut challenge of getting a high score and beating the PC. This app is like the old genuine days when you put quarters in and went right for the flippers.

Play classic pinball on popular tables from Williams, Bally, Stern Pinball and Gottlieb. Access a selection of games with different modes, environments, including Unhouse, Monster Bash, Twilight Zone, Star Trek: The Next Generation, Creature from the Black Lagoon, etc. Customize, enable or disable sound effects and visuals.

Developer FarSight studios posted some grim news for the game today on their Facebook, announcing that WMS Industries, which holds the rights to Bally and Williams' pinball trademarks, has declined to allow their tables within Pinball Arcade any longer. This means that 61 titles, including much-loved tables like The Addams Family and Black Knight 2000, are going to disappear from the collection as of June 30.

Our TakeIt's a shame that this happened, though I suspect it means WMS plans to compete in the same virtual pinball space and are thus pulling out from Pinball Arcade. The addition of a lot of those games to the collection were causes for celebration, so it must feel rough to lose the license so abruptly.

Pinball Arcade is a pinball game for Android terminals that includes accurate representations of the best pinball tables of all time, by Williams, Bally, Stern Pinball and Gottlieb. All flippers, bumpers, and sound effects, as well as each pixel, have been laboriously imitated, with great detail.

Parents need to know that The Pinball Arcade is a pinball game that features authentic recreations of real tables from the '60s, '70s, '80s, '90s, and the '00s. Not only do they feature accurate physics, they also perfectly recreate the looks and sounds of these tables. But because some of these pinball machines were made more for bars than arcades, some tables are not for younger kids, especially kids who might be scared by pictures of Dracula, monsters, aliens, or Elvira. Though some versions of this game come with a bunch of tables, others are actually free, but you have to buy the tables either individually or as a "season" set. You can also play these table against others via your system's online service, which can expose them to inappropriate content. 2ff7e9595c
